WeShop

The original WeShop’s application was hybrid, which limited the ability to improve user experience, visual appeal, and performance. So our client required a native mobile application for iPhone and Android OS devices to extend WeShop’s functionality and optimize the application’s response time.

Effective Soft was entrusted with this task. The biggest challenge was to rework some workflows one by one and refactor the functionality without disrupting the operation of the application in general.

WeShop is a social network where users share the photos of the products they like (or plan to purchase) and follow other members of the community to find out what they recommend.

• We designed architecture for native apps and added new features (user authentication with Apple ID, product/user search, the Ask a question button, etc.).
• We created native applications designed and implemented in accordance with Apple and Google UX guidelines and following the best practices.
• We improved the application performance reducing the average response time under normal and peak loads.
• We helped the external backend team on the client’s side to improve the server-part of the application.
• We published native versions of the application to the App Store and Google Play.

• The platform has its currency, WeCoins, granted for shopping, sharing and engaging with others. WeCoins can be used to redeem a gift voucher provided by one of 100+ premium partners.
• Users gain commission for the products they tag in their photos: the reward ranges from 5 to 10% discount on the retail price.
• Posting has never been easier: users can drag and drop photos/videos from their deviсes or import content from Instagram, YouTube and Vimeo.
• WeShop has contracts with major brands and retailers worldwide, including ASOS, Amazon, Nike, Adidas, Spotify, Google Play, App Store & iTunes and others.
